Schuster gives Kroos advice about his future at Real Madrid
The former Real Madrid player and coach hopes that Kroos will continue with the Spanish and European champions. “That’s what they want at Madrid,” he told Bild.

He gave his thoughts on Kroos’ final few years in the game in an interview with Bild newspaper.
“Toni is enjoying a great career, he is one of the best players this season too. Of course, the only advise I can give him is to keep going; in Madrid they also want him to stay, the club is happy with him,” said the former Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atlético de Madrid player.
Schuster also highlighted Kroos’ character and hopes he will be able to agree an extension to stay on at Bernabéu after his current contract expires next summer.”Toni is a bit special, as we have always seen. He is not one of those who does exactly what everyone says. He knows exactly what he is doing and thinking. I imagine he will be there for another year”, he concluded.
Since his arrival from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2014, Toni Kroos has become an indisputable first-choice at Real Madrid. He is one of the few players in the game to have won five European crowns and has been a mainstay in Madrid’s midfield for the past nine seasons. Now, his retirement appears on the horizon with his contract due for revision at the end of this season. As AS already reported, he is highly valued at the club and his decision will be respected, whether it is hanging up his legendary white shirt or continuing to play for one more season.
This season, the German continues to be essential for Ancelotti. Even with a short break in between (10 minutes against Betis, nine against Leipzig), Kroos has accumulated a total 14 games between the League, Champions League and the UEFA Super Cup in which he has distributed three assists.
