Update:

The watching world gasped as Shaka Hislop stumbled then collapsed on live television on Sunday evening ahead of Real Madrid’s preseason friendly against AC Milan in Los Angeles. As the former goalkeeper went down, there was clear panic from his co-presenter and those in the near vicinity.

Hislop “embarrassed” but doing well

Good news was to follow. ESPN’s Dan Thomas explained at half-time that Hislop was conscious and talking, and he was actually “a little embarrassed” and that he “had apologised” as he doesn’t like people to make a fuss over him.

Thomas also said that the family had been spoken to and, although no confirmation on the medical diagnosis, they say things are looking OK.

Lots of love has poured in from all those watching, and fingers crossed he is back on our screens fit and healthy very soon.
