Even the greats have to retire some time. Andres Iniesta has officially hung up his boots on a glittering career and he will not be forgotten by any of us that have followed his career to this day. And according to another great – some would say the greatest ever – there are even inanimate objects out there that are going to miss the Spaniard’s gentle caress.
“One of the most magical teammates and one of those I’ve enjoyed playing with the most,” was the message posted on Instagram by Lionel Messi. “Andrés Iniesta, the ball is going to miss you, and so will all of us.
“I wish you all the best, always, you’re a phenomenon.”
