The best eleven of the first leg of the Champions League round of 16: Benzema, Militão and Vinicius
Olocip’s Artificial Intelligence has chosen the eleven best performers in the Champions League fixtures, including three Real Madrid footballers.
The 2023 Champions League round of 16 first leg is done and dusted, although it will always be remembered for Real Madrid’s 2-5 win at Anfield, with a sense of superiority that allows them to have three players from their squad in the best eleven of the round according to the data collected and analyzed by Olocip’s Artificial Intelligence (AI).
According to the AI, Karim Benzema was the MVP of the first legs of the round of 16. The actions carried out by the Frenchman generated a value of 1.95, closely followed by his teammate Vinicius (1.85). Both Real Madrid footballers were the true protagonists of the Champions League at Liverpool’s stadium. It must be remembered that Olocip’s AI emphasises analysing the value generated by a player’s actions and their impact on the team, and not on frequency.
Militão, Madrid’s defensive rock at the back
He is not the only Real Madrid footballer in the best XI in the competition. Éder Militão, the scorer of Madrid’s third goal, is part of those chosen for the defensive line. Despite his goal, the defender who generated the most value was the Italian Di Lorenzo, from Napoli, with 1.47. The full-back scored for the Italian team and also, his team did not concede thanks to a great defensive showing. In the other big game of the round of 16, PSG vs Bayern Munich, only Kingsley Coman finds himself in the best eleven. There are no PSG players.
