The USMNT will stay at the luxurious ‘The Pearl’ in Doha for the World Cup
FIFA has confirmed where the 32 teams will stay and train during the upcoming campaign in Qatar, and the USMNT has chosen a luxurious resort.
Everything is set for the 2022 FIFA World Cup that is scheduled to begin in November, and where the 32 nations will be staying and training has been revealed. Several nations have short journeys to make during the group stage and the United States is one of them.
The USMNT booked a luxurious resort
For the duration of the tournament the United States men’s national team will stay and train in a luxury resort that is located in Doha called ‘The Pearl’ and their rooms will include an amazing sea view. A suite can cost up to $16,500 a night on the man-made island that extends out onto the water.
The American players and coaching staff can practice other sports in the facilities on their days off, like tennis and padel. A limousine service is included during their stay, as well as one person available at all times to recommend the best places in the city.
The road to the World Cup
The United States will play two friendlies in Europe in late-September prior to making the trip to Qatar. First, they will play against Japan on 23 September, and then four days later against Saudi Arabia. The USMNT are in Group B and will start the tournament against Wales on 21 November. Another four days later they will play against England and finish the group stage on 29 November against Iran.
