Update:

Fox Sports are gearing up for this summer’s new, expanded World Cup - the biggest edition to date with 48 teams and 104 games. And a super-sized tournament means broadcasters have to bump up their coverage - especially the United States and Canada as two of the three hosts.

FOX exclusively acquired the US and Canadian broadcasting rights to the 2026 World Cup and will be showing 70 live matches as part of their English coverage - including all of the USMNT’s games from the group stage onwards. Meanwhile, the remaining 34 games will be available to watch on their cable network, FS1. Telemundo, Universo, and Peacock will air every game in Spanish.

Fox Sports CEO and Executive Producer Eric Shanks anticipates a busy summer for the network: “FIFA is putting on the biggest World Cup in history, and FOX Sports is living up to that standard. Our broadcast schedule affirms FOX is truly going to be America’s home for the beautiful game over a span of 39 incredible days. We look forward to bringing the country together for its 250th birthday with all the world here for the greatest event on the planet.”

This week, Fox announced the team who will be tasked with bringing live coverage to US households when the World Cup kicks off on June 11 right up to the final at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium on July 19.
