Update:

Thierry Henry could become the France U21 manager, as reported by RMC Sport in France. Henry was interviewed on Monday by the French FA as they look to replace coach Sylvain Ripoll.

Ripoll was let go after his side exited the 2023 European Championships at the quarter-final stage. The idea would be for Henry to lead the U21 France squad for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

Philippe Diallo (French FA president), committee member Marc Keller and Technical director Hubert Fournier are currently conducting interviews to find their next head coach.

Jocelyn Gourvennec is also in the running for the role, but Henry remains the favorite to take the job. Henry previously declined an offer to manage the women’s national team. Former Saudi Arabia head coach Hervé Renard subsequently accepted the job ahead of the Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
