A clinical performance from Tigres as they always had the upper hand over Pumas despite going behind briefly having the double advantage of the one goal first leg lead and knowing that an overall tie would see the Nuevo Leon side advance.

Tigres now face Club America in a two legged Liga MX Apertura final with the first leg at El Volcan next Thursday and the second leg to be held at the Estadio Azteca on Sunday night.

The good news for the UANL side is the return to the team of Gignac.

The danger is always there by their positive play leading to gaps in defence and Tigres have players who can do damage in attack.
