Tyler Adams could link up with Jesse Marsch at Leeds United

Red Bull Leipzig has given the United States international the green light to leave the Bundesliga side this summer and Leeds are monitoring the situation.

Last month Leeds United announced Brenden Aaronson as their first signing ahead of the start of the 2022/23 Premier League season and they continue to target more players during the summer transfer window. Now the team managed by Jesse Marsch is targeting RB Leipzig midfielder Tyler Adams and he could join his USMNT team-mate next season.

The Bundesliga side has given Adams the green light to leave the club during the summer transfer window and the Elland Road outfit are keen on signing him. Leeds are monitoring the midfielder as a possible replacement for Kalvin Phillips who could join Manchester City.

Adams could rejoin Marsch

Marsch is well aware of what Adams can bring to the table. The pair first linked up at Red Bull Leipzig for a short period. If the 23-year-old completes his move to Yorkshire in the coming weeks, he would be the club’s fourth summer signing after Aaronson, Rasmur Kristensen and Marc Roca.

The USMNT ace helped the Bundesliga side finish fourth last season and secure their spot in the Champions League. Adams made 24 league appearances, 12 as a starter, and provided one assist last season in Germany’s top tier.
