Update:

2024 could hardly have gone any better for Jayson Tatum, who starred as the Boston Celtics won the NBA Championship and helped Team USA to gold at the Olympic Games in Paris. And things also went pretty well off the court for the NBA star.

How many children does Jayson Tatum have? Is he married?

Tatum, whose had his first child, a son, with high school girlfriend, Toriah Lachell in 2017, became a father for the second time last August, with English singer Ella Mai, who he is rumored to have been with since 2019, giving birth to another boy.

The Celtics forward has done his utmost to keep his private life out of the limelight, with he and Mai not publicly revealing their son’s name. However, he has been seen playing in shoes with ‘Deuce,’ his oldest son’s nickname, and ‘Dylan’ on them.

Now, however, Tatum has shed some light on his personal life in a new commercial for Amica Insurance, one of the Celtics’ jersey patch partners.

Celtics star Tatum offers glimpse of life at home with baby

In the ad, the 27-year-old is asked at a press conference “What keeps you going?” prompting him to daydream about life at home. That, it would appear, means cleaning up baby toys and shooting miniature basketballs at a small hoop.

His mom, Brandy Cole, also makes an appearance, with the duo reminiscing about how Tatum first got into basketball. “Grandma really taught me how to shoot, anyway,” he claims after ‘scoring’ a basket. “She did. I was just thinking that,” comes Cole’s reply.

Their chat is interrupted by a young child crying over a baby monitor, at which point Tatum awakes from his daydream and finally answers the “What keeps you going?” question from the press conference. “Those who I do it for”.

The commercial ends with a shot of three pairs of basketball shoes of different sizes, with Tatum’s seemingly lined up alongside Deuce’s and Dylan’s. Those he does it for.
