USMNT confirms lineup for friendly against Morocco
Gregg Berhalter confirmed his starting XI for the game against the Atlas Lions on Wednesday night in Cincinnati.
The United States men’s national team is preparing for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in November and Gregg Berhlater’s side are in action on Wednesday against Morocco in their first friendly after securing their spot at the World Cup finals earlier this year.
The USMNT has been holding camp in Cincinnati since Monday and Berhalter confirmed the team that will start at TQL stadium. The biggest surprise in the starting lineup is that Brenden Aaronson will play in midfield and not as a striker.
The Leeds United forward will take Weston McKennie’s spot in midfield and he will be paired with Tyler Adams and Yunus Musah. Berhalter also confirmed that Joe Scally will get some game time but as a substitute in the second half.
