The United States men’s national team continues their preparation for the 2022 FIFA World Cup and started with a brilliant performance against Morocco on Wednesday night. The team managed by Gregg Berrhalter won that friendly 3-0 with a brilliant performance of Christian Pulisic leading the USMNT’s attack.

Now the United States will have a tougher opponent that will put them to the test. The USMNT will host Uruguay, who defeated Mexico 3-0 on Thursday night, at Children’s Mercy Park on Sunday afternoon. Ahead of the friendly against the CONMEBOL side, the head coach of the United States, Gregg Berhalter confirmed the starting lineup.

What I saw from Uruguay is extreme wing play. Really good on the wings. Dominant in midfield. That midfield trip is a really high level and that is why I’m really interested to see what we can do. They also have quality strikers, no matter who it is. So it is going to be a great challenge for us,” said Berhlater.

A challenge against one of South America’s best
