USWNT squad for 2023 World Cup announced

USWNT head coach Vlatko Andonovski has named his squad as his side look to secure a fifth World Cup win in Australia/New Zealand.

U.S. Women’s National Team head coach Vlatko Andonovski has named his 23 player squad for the 2023 FIFA World Cup which kicks off in Australia/New Zealand on 17 July.

The US head ‘down-under’ as firm favourites to lift the trophy but will face stern opposition this year from the likes of France, England, Japan and Spain.

Ahead of the trip to New Zealand where the US team will be based, Andonovski’s side will play a send-off game as they host Wales in San Jose (California) on 9 July.

The US are pitted in Group E and will face Vietnam, Netherlands and Portugal in the group stage of the competition.
