Vinicius Jr treats Benzema to personalised ‘KB9′ headphones
The Brazilian gave his Real Madrid teammate a pair of golden Apple AirPods Max as a special gift.
Vinicius Jr. and Karim Benzema have become an inseparable duo on the pitch in recent seasons, helping Real Madrid to a famous double last year. The two Real Madrid forwards are always in sync on the pitch and it seems that their friendship does not stop there.
On Thursday Benzema shared a photo on Instagram of a new pair of personalised headphones apparently bought by Vinicius. Of course, these are not just any ordinary headphones and appear to have been gold-plated and adorned with the Frenchman’s ‘KB9′ moniker.
In the post, Benzema wrote: “Thank you my little brother”.
The two Madrid stars clearly have a close relationship and Benzema often acts as an older sibling to Vini, who is 13 years his junior. In an interview with DJMariio, Vinicius said: “My best friend is Benzema. On the field we are always very close and we always look for the play.”
What brand are the headphones Vinicius gave to Benzema?
Benzema is known to be an avid music fan and he has appeared in a number of music videos in the past. He is certain to get plenty of use out of Vinicius’ gift, but what headphones did the Brazilian get for him?
The pair Benzema received are a customised version of Apple’s AirPods Max, the brand’s flagship headphones. In the United States they cost $549, but it is fair to assume that the version Vinicius bought will have cost quite a bit more.
Not only are they engraved with the striker’s ‘KB9′ branding, they seem to have been gold-plated.
It is not clear where Vinicius bought the dazzling headphones from but it is not an option offered as standard by Apple. In 2020 Russian luxury goods brand Caviar released a golden version of the AirPods Max that coupled pure gold with a rare crocodile leather headband to make the most luxurious headphones in the world.
At the time of release, the Caviar AirPods Max were available for $108,000. It’s not clear how much Vini spent on the pair for KB9, but the Frenchman certainly seems to have appreciated the gift.
