Vinicius, Rodrygo and Casemiro return to Real Madrid training
Vinicius, Rodrygo and Casemiro return to work under Carlo Ancelotti on the third day of Real Madrid’s pre-season training schedule.
The absence of a major national team tournament in the summer has simplified the schedule for Real Madrid’s return to work. On Sunday it was time for the four Brazilian internationals to return to Valdebebas. Casemiro, Vinicius and Rodrygo are all back as Carlo Ancelotti puts his side through their first few sessions. Militao has not been at training with the permission of the club, as he is about to become a father.
Sunday is another double session for the Madrid squad. They trained this morning, combining physical work with exercises with the ball, and they will go again this afternoon at 17:30 local time. It will not be their last appointment of the day, because at 20:30 they are expected in a central Madrid venue for Marcelo’s farewell party.
New Madrid signings return next
With the arrival of the Brazilians (except for the aforementioned exception of Militao) there is only one last group left to return to training. Carvajal, Rüdiger, Alaba, Tchouameni, Modric, Asensio, Benzema, Hazard and Valverde will return on Thursday 14 July.
Los Blancos preseason
Los Blancos will train in Madrid until Tuesday 19 July, the day they will travel to the United States, where they will have a mini-tour with three friendlies against Barcelona, Club América and Juventus. The first game will be the Clásico against the Catalans in Las Vegas.
The club’s first official match of the season will be the European Super Cup against Eintracht Frankfurt on 10 August in Helsinki and the league champions will begin their title defence on Sunday 14 August against Almería.
