What injury does Jude Bellingham have? When will he return for Real Madrid?
The English midfielder went off early in the 0-3 win over Girona in LaLiga.
Real Madrid won 0-3 against Girona in LaLiga and crept closer to Barcelona at the top of the table, who stumbled against Real Betis earlier in the day.
However, the smiles for Los Blancos were quickly quashed as Jude Bellingham left the pitch early due to an apparent injury picked up around the hour mark. He was replaced by Dani Ceballos.
Mbappé found the net, as did Arda Güler, who put the result out of reach after the Englishman’s first half opener.
What injury does Jude Bellingham have?
While the club, at the time of writing, have not confirmed the extent of the injury, it is believed that the Englishman felt something in his leg, and was taken off as a precautionary measure.
Real Madrid play a crucial Champions League game next week against Atalanta, and risking such an important player would be a dangerous game to play.
It is not the first time that the midfielder has succumbed to physical issues this season: most of Real Madrid’s squad have suffered some kind of injury throughout the current campaign, and Bellingham was out earlier in the season with a plantaris muscle injury. This time, however, it is hoped not to be as serious.
Ancelotti calmed fears after the game, saying that “he’s OK, he was tired in his legs, I preferred not to risk him, he’ll be OK”.
The game between Atalanta - Real Madrid will be played on Tuesday December 10 at Gewiss Stadium with kick off at 3:00 p.m. ET / 12:00 p.m. PT.
