Real Madrid got past Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals on penalties after a dramatic event at the Etihad Stadium which saw them draw 1-1 (4-4) after extra-time.

Over in Germany, Bayern Munich beat Arsenal 1-0 in a cagey game that saw the Germans come away with a 3-2 aggregate win, setting up one of Europe’s classic fixtures: Madrid vs Bayern.
