With the March FIFA window now complete, the full lineup of teams for the 2025 Gold Cup has been finalized. After the first set of participants was confirmed in November 2024, this Tuesday marked the completion of the field for the CONCACAF region’s most prestigious tournament, set to take place this summer.

The next step is the official draw, where all teams will learn their group-stage opponents.

Gold Cup 2025 draw details

The draw for the upcoming tournament will take place on Thursday, April 10, at 7:00 p.m. ET (6:00 p.m. CT, 4:00 p.m. PT) in the United States and will be broadcast live on television. Concacaf has recently used a similar draw format for the CONCACAF Champions Cup, ensuring a structured and transparent selection process.

This year’s Gold Cup field features the top teams from the region, including Mexico, the United States, Canada, and Panama, as well as guest nation Saudi Arabia, who will be making their tournament debut. Other nations such as Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, and Jamaica will also be aiming to make a strong impact.

How will the Gold Cup 2025 draw work?

According to CONCACAF, the draw will follow a system involving eight pots.

• The first four pots will contain all 16 participating teams, arranged in groups of four based on the latest CONCACAF rankings as of March 26.
• The remaining four pots will represent Groups A, B, C, and D in which the teams will be placed.

As the reigning champion, Mexico will automatically be placed in Pot 1 and assigned to Group A, where they will also have the honor of playing the tournament’s opening match at SoFi Stadium.

Following Mexico, the highest-ranked team will go into Group B, the second-highest into Group C, and the third-highest into Group D. Saudi Arabia will be placed in Pot 4 and will learn its fate as the draw progresses.

The tournament will consist of a group stage, with each group containing four teams. The top two teams from each group will advance to the quarterfinals, with the competition ultimately culminating in the final at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.
