When can Manchester City win the Premier League title?

Even the most optimistic of Arsenal fans have now conceded that Man City’s name is set to be engraved, once again on the Premier League trophy after Arteta’s men stumbled at home to Brighton on Sunday as City now hold a four point lead at the summit.

Indeed City are closing in on a historic treble with Guardiola’s men still alive in the Champions League as they welcome Real Madrid to the Etihad this week in the semi-final second leg with the tie delicately poised at 1-1 from the game at the Bernabeu.

City are also in the final of the FA Cup where they face neighbours Man United at the 3 June Wembley Stadium final with the Sky Blues hoping to emulate the unique feat achieved by Alex Ferguson and his Red Devils in the 1998/99 campaign.

Premier League title race

Despite a valiant effort for the bulk of the season, Arsenal’s defeat to Brighton at the Emirates on Sunday means that City need just three points from their final three Premier League games to clinch title; two points likely to be enough given big goal difference advantage between both clubs. A loss for Arsenal at Nottingham Forest on Saturday would also see Guardiola’s side crowned as champions.
