América’s stellar reinforcement for the Apertura 2023 trained with his new team mates in Tuesday’s midday session in Coapa. Yesterday, the Colombian’s transfer became official. América welcomed its star reinforcement with a presentation video loaded with references to Quentin Tarantino’s mythical film Pulp Fiction. Just an hour earlier, Julián had said goodbye to Atlas, a team in which he was a key player in obtaining the historic two-time championship that ended a 70-year drought at the club.
Quiñones played his last match for Atlas in the 2023 Clausura quarter finals. The opponents were eternal city rivals, Chivas. In the first leg, the player born in the municipality of Magüí Payán unknowingly scored the last of his 36 goals for the Rojinegros.
