ARSENAL
When will Martin Odegaard return to action with Arsenal?
The last time Odegaard played for Arsenal was in the Carabao Cup defeat to West Ham.
Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard has missed the club’s recent games against Newcastle, Sevilla and Burnley through injury.
The 24-year-old has, however, been called up to play for Norway this month, in European qualifying games against the Faroe Islands and Scotland.
Spain and Scotland have both qualified automatically from the group and it remains to be seen if the left-footed technician will feature for his country this month. Norway can only now qualify for Euro 2024 via the playoffs.
The last time the Norwegian played for the north London club was for 10 minutes in the Carabao Cup defeat to West Ham on November 1. He later failed fitness tests ahead of the Premier League loss to Newcastle and the European win over Sevilla.
Artera on Odegaard
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta expects Odegaard to be available to play again before the end of November when Arsenal take on Thomas Frank’s Brentford in the league and Lens in the Champions League.
“I’m going to have a meeting with the medical department to understand everybody’s situation and I think he is going to be back after the international break,” Arteta said after victory over Burnley on Saturday.
Arsenal’s injury problems
Gabriel Jesus, Ben White, Thomas Partey, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Emile Smith Rowe are all currently suffering from respective injury problems, while Jurrien Timber will be sidelined for a lengthy spell.
Odegaard’s club return
If everything goes as planned, the next time Odegaard could play for the Gunners is against Brentford on November 25.
