Manchester City CEO Ferran Soriano has spoken on RAC-1 about the future of the Norwegian striker Erling Haaland, who continues to be linked with Real Madrid despite having a contract at the Etihad Stadium until 2027.

“Haaland is happy at Manchester City. He has done something extraordinary with us since he arrived and I think he will be here for many years,” said Soriano.

Pep’s deal

In the same interview, Soriano also spoke about head coach Pep Guardiola’s future. The Catalan coach has a deal with treble winners City until 2025. “He will be here for as long as he wants to be,” he said.

Bernardo Silva rumours

Soriano went on to dismiss the rumours surrounding Bernardo Silva’s proposed summer move to FC Barcelona.

He added: “Nothing came of it. All the talk came from Barcelona. There was nothing.”
