PREMIER LEAGUE
Where could USMNT forward Christian Pulisic be playing next season?
The USMNT forward has one year left on his contract at Chelsea.
It remains to be seen if Christian Pulisic will be part of new Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino’s plans at Stamford Bridge.
The USMNT forward has only played 813 minutes in the Premier League in 2022-23 and failed to convince the club’s most recent coaches.
Chelsea’s bloated squad will be trimmed over the coming weeks and months as Pochettino looks to put his stamp on the side after he joined the West London club on an initial two-year deal.
Pulisic, who scored just one goal and provided one assist in 24 Premier League appearances this season, has been linked in potential swap deals involving Chelsea targets.
Pulisic’s future
But if he does leave Stamford Bridge, where could the former Borussia Dortmund man end up this summer?
Newcastle, who will play Champions League next season, have been linked with a whole host of players and St James’ Park could be a possible destination for the 24-year-old.
The Athletic report that Serie A side AC Milan and current Italian champions Napoli could also come looking, but they may be priced out of a move.
Whatever happens, Pulisic needs to find a club that can offer him the game time required at a crucial stage in his career.
Pochettino might see something that others didn’t which would see him stay at Chelsea beyond the summer. Only time will tell.
