The Cruz Azul goalkeeper made his debut in the First Division 20 years ago with Atlas and has been with La Maquina since 2009, a club where he has built legendary status.

The Clausura 2023 has an average age of 27, according to Transfermarkt. Next on the list is Alfredo Talavera, goalkeeper for FC Juárez, but who is best remembered for his spells at Toluca and Pumas.

Alves playing at 39

Pumas have the third oldest player in Mexican football with Dani Alves in their squad. The Brazilian returned to the club after going to Qatar 2022 with Brazil and at 39 years of age, he is looking to perform better than in the Apertura 2022.

In fourth place is Marcelo Barovero at 38. The top 5 is completed by Antony Silva. Both goalkeepers remain guaranteed starters with their respective clubs.
