EURO 2024

Who plays today in Euro 2024? 21 June: games, times, TV, schedule

France, the Netherlands and Slovakia have the chance to join Germany and Spain in the last 16 in Friday’s games at Euro 2024.

Spain have joined host nation Germany in qualifying for the round of 16 at Euro 2024 after only two matches thanks to a 1-0 victory over Italy in Group B in Gelsenkirchen on Thursday.

The Italians will likely need a positive result against Croatia in their third group fixture to be assured of progressing too.

England also look likely to be going through after their 1-1 draw against Denmark took them onto four points in Group C, although fans were left deeply unimpressed by their performance in Frankfurt. A draw between Serbia and Slovenia in the day’s other game means there is everything still to play for on matchday three.

Euro 2024: what games are on Friday 21 June?

The Netherlands take on France in Friday’s standout fixture, with Kylian Mbappé's availability still somewhat up in the air after he suffered a broken nose against Austria on Monday. Both nations won their opening group match, which means they can qualify for the last 16 with a victory in Leipzig.

The Austrians and Poland will be looking to keep their hopes of progressing alive in the day’s other Group D game, while Slovakia can become the first surprise qualifier for the knockout rounds in the day’s early game. They shocked Belgium on matchday one and will be looking for more of the same against Ukraine, who suffered a heavy opening loss to Romania.

Group E

  • Slovakia - Ukraine (Düsseldorf, 9am ET)

Group D

  • Poland - Austria (Berlin, 12pm ET)
  • Netherlands - France (Leipzig, 3pm ET)
