Why isn’t Pedri playing for Spain against England in Euro 2024 final?
The versatile Barcelona midfielder went off against Germany having played in all but one of Spain’s games at Euro 2024.
Spain play England in the showpiece final of Euro 2024, but they are missing their exciting midfield playmaker Pedri, after the Barcelona player was injured against Germany.

The 21-year-old was a starter for Luis de la Fuente but has missed the rest of the tournament after he was fouled by Toni Kroos, just six minutes into Spain’s quarterfinal against Germany. Spain went on to win 2-1 in extra-time, with his direct substitute Dani Olmo scoring.

What injury did Pedri sustain?
The Spanish football federation later announced that Pedri had suffered an internal lateral sprain to his left-knee. The injury ruled Pedri out from the rest of the tournament. Fortunately Spain has a plethora of creative players and Olmo has filled in very nicely, taking them to the final against England.
