Why isn’t Trent Alexander-Arnold playing for Real Madrid vs PSG? Club World Cup 2025
The Englishman was a headline signing ahead of the summer but will need replaced for the semi-final.

Real Madrid will have to make do without Trent in their semifinal against PSG. The English full-back will miss the game at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium due to muscle discomfort in his right leg, a problem that has lingered since Monday’s training session in Palm Beach – the final workout before the squad endured a grueling journey to New York.
Valverde will fill in at right-back against the French side – neither Carvajal, who may be officially fit but still lacks match sharpness, nor Lucas, who has barely featured under Xabi Alonso, will start.
No Trent, no Huijsen for Madrid
The English star joins another confirmed absentee: Huijsen. The center-back will sit out the clash with Luis Enrique’s team as he serves a one-match suspension for the red card he picked up in the final minutes of the quarterfinal against Dortmund.
