Will Christian Pulisic leave Chelsea before the end of the transfer window?
The United States men’s international team captain has only played 57 minutes in three Premier League appearances this season with Chelsea.
Christian Pulisic is not having the start of the campaign that he would have liked and in the first three games of the Premier League season, he has only played a total of 57 minutes. The USMNT player has come off the bench in all three appearances and has been linked with an exit during the summer transfer window.
The 23-year-old played 25 minutes in Chelsea’s opening game of the season in the 1-0 win over Everton and the following match, in the 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur, Pulisic only played six minutes. The team managed by Thomas Tuchel got humiliated by Leeds United with a 3-0 defeat and Pulisic was only on the field for 26 minutes.
Pulisic is running out of time
Pulisic would like to have a more prominent role at Chelsea but he has lost his spot in the starting XI with the arrival of Raheem Sterling. He wants to arrive in peak form for the FIFA World Cup and has been linked with a move to Manchester United or Newcastle United in search of more minutes, but both options are fading away.
According to the latest reports, Pulisic has been told by the club that it’s likely that he will stay at Chelsea and no swap deals are planned at this moment. There is no real offer from Manchester United, just interest, and he is going to have to fight for a spot in the starting XI at Stamford Bridge in the next few months before traveling with the USMNT to Qatar in November.
