Update:

New Zealand head into their final game in Group H knowing only a victory will be enough after a draw against Iran and a defeat to Egypt in their opening World Cup 2026 fixtures. The All Whites, competing in only their third tournament, will reach the knockout stage with a win, but any other result will send them home early.

A third consecutive draw in the group could still be enough to send Belgium into the last 32, and possibly even in second place if Iran lose to Egypt. Belgium must defeat New Zealand to have any chance of winning Group H, although the odds of that happening are slim. For the Red Devils to top the group, they would likely need a victory by at least a three-goal margin combined with an Iran-Egypt draw. Alternatively, they would need to win by a larger margin than Iran manage against Egypt to finish first.
