Georgina Rodríguez met Cristiano, then a Real Madrid player, when she was working at a fashion boutique in the Spanish capital.
Who is Cristiano Ronaldo engaged to? This is the soccer star’s fiancée, Georgina Rodríguez
From working as a store clerk in a fashion boutique to being one of the world’s most photographed individuals: that’s the arc of Georgina Rodríguez, Cristiano Ronaldo’s fiancée, whose story is far more grounded than her glamorous public image suggests.
Georgina, 32, holds Argentine nationality through her father Jorge and Spanish roots through her mother, Ana María. She was born in Buenos Aires but grew up in Jaca - a small town in Huesca, north-eastern Spain. Georgina has two sisters, Ivana and Patricia.

She spent much of her childhood studying dance, and started taking ballet classes at the age of four. At 16, she spent a year abroad, working as a nanny in Bristol, England. On her return to Spain, she moved to the capital, Madrid, and found work in retail jobs, supplementing her income with occasional bar work.
Georgina’s world changed after she landed a sales assistant job at the Gucci boutique on Calle Serrano, Madrid’s exclusive ‘Golden Mile’. “I was serving the client of a colleague who was away on holiday. At five o’clock, I was expecting a Galician woman who wanted to look at some coats. It was late July and 40 degrees in Madrid...” she told Spanish chat show, El Hormiguero. “So I was showing this lady some coats - she she didn’t buy anything... and three hours later, I was ready to go home and just as I was leaving, Cristiano came in.”
Georgina and Cristiano set for wedding bells
The only words exchanged during that brief encounter were “good evening”, but Cristiano and Georgina crossed paths again soon after, at a fashion event held at the Serrano store. That was when the then-Real Madrid star made his move. The pair became one of the most talked‑about relationships in global pop culture. On August 11, 2025, the model announced news of their engagement via Instagram. Details of the wedding have yet to emerge, although it will be likely be a date between the end of the World Cup on July 19 and mid-September.
During her 10‑year relationship with Cristiano, Georgina has welcomed two daughters with the Portuguese star: Alana Martina and Bella Esmeralda. A twin brother to Bella Esmeralda died during childbirth - a loss the couple described as “the greatest pain that any parent can feel”. Georgina has also taken on a central role in raising Ronaldo’s three older children — Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., born in 2010, and twins Eva and Mateo, born in 2017. For Georgina, there’s no distinction between them, she considers herself “a mother to all”.
