Argentina president-elect goes viral in concerning video
Argentinian president-elect Javier Milei went viral in a video, listing the 11 departments he’d like to cut, saying “the thievery of politics is over!”
On November 19, Argentina elected Javier Milei as president over opponent Sergio Massa, but now they may have some concerns about their future. In a video that has gone viral (posted by X user Jamie Bartlett), Milei talks about completely abolishing 11 departments of the government, including the Ministry of the Environment and Sustainable Development.
As Argentina faces its worst economic crisis in decades, Milei promises to fight inflation and poverty, but perhaps at the cost of the environment, as his plans include cutting public funding. In the video, after listing the departments he wants to get rid of, Milei says, “the thievery of politics is over! Long live damn liberty!”
