Arsenal star offers strange excuse for Bournemouth loss
Viktor Gyokeres labelled a “dry pitch” as one of the reasons for Arsenal’s loss to Bournemouth.
“We had some ok chances in the end. [The] pitch was maybe a bit dry there to be honest so that didn’t help, but of course we all need to do better need to take our chances.”
Those were the words of Arsenal striker Viktor Gyokeres, who spoke to the BBC following his team’s 1-2 loss to AFC Bournemouth in the Premier League, a result that has blown the title race wide open with just a handful of matches to go.
The north London side have lost 3 of their last 4 in the division and now sit just 6 points behind Manchester City, who have a game in hand and are yet to host The Gunners in the Premier League.
