Furious Real Madrid players surround the referee after Bayern loss

Arda Güler’s two amazing goals weren’t enough to see Real Madrid through in a dramatic Champions League quarter-final that went to the wire. At times it felt like the remontada version of Europe’s biggest winners was going to emerge, but in the end they fell on the wrong side of the line.

And Güler’s adrenaline got the better of him in the aftermath of the loss as he stormed over to the referee, aided by the presence of his teammates, to make his feelings clear on the performance of the official.

A red card was duly handed out to the young midfielder, who continued to pursue the referee until he was dragged away by those with a cooler head.
