Suarez calls Messi “bobo” in viral video

Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi are used to playful banter, and birthdays are no exception. As Suarez celebrated his 37th birthday with his new (and old) Inter Miami teammates, they created a birthday tunnel, guard of honor. As Suarez was running through, Messi gave him a little slap on the neck. As he ran out, Suarez looked back, rubbing his neck and asked, “Desde cuando pegas vos en los pasillos, bobo?” which loosely translates to, “Since when do you hit in the tunnels, idiot?” He smiled and laughed, as did the rest of the team.

Suarez joined Messi’s Inter Miami in December and has played in two friendlies since then, a 0-0 tie with El Salvador and a 1-0 loss to FC Dallas. Next up, they will play Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia on Monday.
