The Inter Miami Stadium of Beckham’s dreams
Lionel Messi’s new home with Inter Miami is set to undergo some major changes by 2025, when it will be called Freedom Park and will sit 25,000 people.
David Beckham had two big dreams for Inter Miami when he became co-owner of the brand new expansion club, which began to play in 2020 - sign Lionel Messi and create Freedom Park - a stadium that will seat 25,000 fans, plus a recreational area with public parks, restaurants, ships, and more.
He can check off that first box as Messi has decided to join Inter Miami when his contract ends with PSG later this month. Now, he looks to continue his project of creating Freedom Park. Right now, Inter Miami plays at DRV PNK, a stadium in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, which seats 18,000. Freedom Park should be completed and open for the start of the 2025 MLS season.
