VIDEO: When dreams become reality - Alcaraz at 12 years old
At 12 years old, Carlos Alcaraz told a reporter what his ultimate dream would be when he turned pro, and at just 20, he’s already realized that dream.
A reporter spoke to tennis star Carlos Alcaraz when he was just 12 years old. At that young age, his talent was already obvious. The reporter asked him what his dream was when he becomes a professional player and Alcaraz responded:
“To win Roland-Garros and Wimbledon.”
Well, eight short years later, and he’s accomplished at least one of those dreams after defeating legend Novak Djokovic to win Wimbledon at just 20 years old. He doesn’t look to be far off from winning Roland Garros quite soon either.
Alcaraz also mentioned that Roger Federer was his idol. Federer has said many public praises about Alcaraz since then, so that has to be a dream come true for young Alcaraz as well.
