But what punishment did Djokovic get for his brief moment of madness with his smashed racket?

The Serbian smashed his racket against the net post in frustration after Alcaraz earned the first break of their fifth set on Sunday and the young Spaniard cupped his ear to the crowd.

Djokovic initially received a code violation for his furious reaction and has since been fined $8,000, which will be deducted from his Wimbledon prize money.

The 36-year-old seven-time champion was feeling the pressure and knew he had something to lose at that point.
