FIFA unveils innovative Fan ID for the 2026 World Cup
Gianni Infantino announced that this Fan ID will serve as a gateway to “a world of exclusive content, unforgettable experiences and memories to be saved.”
Just weeks before the kickoff of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Mexico, United States and Canada, soccer’s governing body has has unveiled its FIFA Fan ID: a free physical card that will serve as a souvenir for all ticket holders attending any of the 104 matches that will make up the biggest edition of the major national team tournament.
What is the FIFA Fan ID for the World Cup?
This physical, customizable card can be collected by fans at information points located before entering any of the 16 venues hosting the tournament matches. Once fans have collected the physical card, they can tap it against their smartphone to access immersive experiences.
In addition to being a souvenir, the card unlocks a unique digital environment filled with official tournament content, rewards, and activities. Furthermore, it allows fans to upload their own memories and create personalized products based on their experience during the matches and the tournament.
From the moment they use their card, fans will have access to a variety of unique features, items, and opportunities, including:
