BARCELONA-VALENCIA
Iniesta: “We’ll have to play very well to reach the final”
Javier Bordas, the Barcelona board member responsible for the first team, also spoke about the draw: “Valencia are a tricky side and the second leg is at Mestalla”.
Javier Bordas, the FC Barcelona board member in charge of the first team, spoke following the Copa del Rey semi-final draw which saw the Catalans paired off against Valencia.
Tough opponent: “Every team that makes it to the Copa del Rey semi-finals is going to be difficult to get past. Valencia are a tricky side and I’m certain they’ll make things difficult for us. We’re going to have play well at the Camp Nou in the first leg because after that we travel to Mestalla for the second leg. The standards are very high in the semi-finals and you can’t talk about favourites at this stage”.
Moral high: “The quarter-final tie with Athletic Club was really quite special. The team gave a good account of themselves in both legs and we need to continue in similar vein if we’re to reach the final”.
Andrés Iniesta spoke via Skype right after the draw had been made: “It’s a tricky tie and we’ll have to play well to reach the final”.
