"New signings? I don't know if I'll be here next season"
The Madrid coach also discussed tomorrow's visit to Las Palmas: "We’ll be well prepared and we’ll send out the best eleven to try and win the game”.
Zinedine Zidane spoke to the press ahead of Real Madrid’s visit to Las Palmas on Sunday (20:30 CET).
Three wins in a row: “After three wins we’re always in better shape; in training, and the whole atmosphere. You’re always better when you win. After the derby it was different, but now we have to think about moving forward. Being in good shape doesn’t mean anything and what we have to do is get off to a good start in games. We’ll try to do our best.”
Las Palmas: “The most important thing is to start the game well. It will be tough, as always, because our opponents will use the weapons they have to affect our game. We’ll be well prepared and we’ll send out the best eleven to try and win the game.”
Signing De Gea: “I’m not considering anything because I don’t know what will happen tomorrow. I don’t know what will happen at the end of the season. I’m really happy with the goalkeepers I’ve got. Keylor normally plays but Kiko is a professional who trains well, and Rubén also trains really hard. That’s the most important thing. We’ll look at it at the end of the season.”
Transfers: “I can’t tell you anything. I don’t know if I’ll be here… I’m here now, but at the end of the season I don’t know what’s going to happen. There is a lot of talk about who’s coming and going. That’s normal, but I’m focusing on our games. Sorry to always say the same things, but that’s the way it is.”
Benzema: “I’m happy. We spoke about Karim’s situation and we’ll have to see how it works out. He seems fine. He’s training on his own, but it’s always great to see him on the pitch. Next week we’ll see, on Monday or Tuesday. The idea is for him to join the rest of the squad next week.”
