Nacho was booked in this afternoon's meeting with Real Sociedad, and as a result completes a cycle of five yellow cards, meaning that he will be ineligible for next Saturday's game against Valencia at the Bernabéu (17:00 kick-off). On the opposing team, Joseba Zaldua went into the notebook and he too will miss the next game through suspension, as La Real entertain Rayo at Anoeta on the same day at the same time.
Nacho went into the book for a run-in with his marker, then protesting the ref's decision to award a free-kick.
