Real Madrid's Toni Kroos has acknowledged that there is huge pressure on Los Blancos to come away victorious from Saturday's Champions League final in Milan.

Madrid meet city rivals Atlético at the San Siro - in a repeat of the tournament's 2014 showpiece occasion in Lisbon - as they bid to claim an 11th continental crown.

Real had to settle for second in LaLiga this term, while their Copa del Rey campaign came to an early end after they were thrown out of the tournament for fielding an ineligible player.

And, in an interview with Süddeutsche Zeitung in his native Germany, Kroos admitted: "For this to have been a good season in the eyes of public opinion, we have to win this last game."

The 26-year-old concluded: "That's what is expected of Real Madrid: the biggest club has to win the biggest competition."
