SERIAL WINNERS
Ferguson and Capello attend the Champions League final
Two men who know about winning in football, Sir Alex Ferguson and Fabio Capello, were spotted in the San Siro taking their seats ahead of the Champions League final
Sir Alex Ferguson and Fabio Capello were spotted in the San Siro taking their seats ahead of the Champions League final between Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid.
The two managers, currently not in work, are not unfamiliar with trophy success. Italian, Capello, was coach at Milan, Real Madrid and Roma and had a combined haul of 13 major titles including two LaLigas with Madrid and the Champions League with Milan in 1993-94.
Scotsman Ferguson is best known internationally for his long tenure and incredible success for Manchester United. There he amassed 13 Premier Leagues and two Champions Leagues as part of a 27-year stint at the club. Prior to that, Aberdeen in north east Scotland was where he came to prominence winning three league titles and the Uefa Cup Winners’ Cup among others. In the same way that he aimed to dethrone Liverpool in England, he was able to stop the dominance of the Old Firm of Rangers and Celtic in Scotland.
They know what it takes to win the big trophies. Tonight they can relax and let Zidane and Simeone feel the heat.
