Update:
United agree terms with Pogba agent, will bid €120m next week

Paul Pogba has distanced himself from Madrid in the last few days. Manchester United have accepted the exorbitant figures proposed by both Juventus and the player’s agent, Mino Raiola, and have reached an agreement with the French midfielder that’ll complicate things for the player’s other suitors (principally Chelsea as well Real Madrid). Under the agreement, Pogba will earn €13.5 million a year and United are also willing to meet Juve’s €120m asking price – a fee that would make him the most expensive player in history. Add €25m worth of commission for Raiola and you can see why Los Blancos consider the quantities needed to make Pogba a galáctico as “insane”.

Pogba the last piece of Mou's puzzle

Since landing at Old Trafford, Mourniho has asked for four signings in four key positions and he’s demanded that his club do everything possible to get them. And United haven’t shirked away either: the club’s operations see them bring in approximately €200m annually, without even counting the extraordinarily large contracts with Adidas and Chevrolet, as well as the recent increase in TV rights.

Real Madrid need to react, and fast.

After the arrival of Eric Bailly, Mkhitaryan and Ibrahimovic (the latter two who are also represented by Raiola), the Red Devils are now only missing a world-class centre midfielder from Mou’s wishlist. Pogba was right at the top of that, and United are moving quickly to avoid getting into a tussle with Real Madrid, who have been indecisive up until now. This week, United’s executive director Ed Woodward put in place an agreement with Pogba and next week he plans to seal the deal in a meeting with Juve. Real need to react, and fast.
