Gomes is set to arrive in the Catalan capital this evening where he will undergo his routine medical revision. The Portuguese player will be officially unveiled as a new FC Barcelona player at the Camp Nou tomorrow morning at 11:30 local time

Adriano to BJK

Adriano Correia has been in Istanbul since Sunday last and was photographed wearing the "Super Eagles" shirt at his medical revision. Nothing official has been stated yet from the Turkish club but confirmation of his move from Barça to Besiktas is imminent.

Sam Allardyce was presented to the media yesterday as new England manager at an event the FA headquarters in Saint George's bear Burton. He coincided with the Barça squad carrying out their first day of training and stated that it was an honour for a club as prestigious as Barcelona training at the centre.

Record net income

The club held a directors meeting yesterday and official Barça spokesman Josep Vives announced that the Catalan club secured a record year for income with 679 million euro entering the accounts with an overall profit of 29 million euro for the club.

Carlos Bacca

With Argentine striker Luciano Vietto morning to Sevilla on loan for the season, the search continues at Barça for a striker with Colombian Carlos Bacca's name being linked with a move to Camp Nou. The striker is anxious to move away from AC Milan and Luis Enrique faces completion from various Premier League sides.

Barça face their first pre-season test next Saturady in Dublin with a game against Glasgow Celtic as part of the International Champions Cup.  The game at the Aviva stadium is close to selling oiut with a limited number of tickets priced at 80€ still remaining.
