Rafael Benítez has said that anyone interested in Moussa Sissoko will have to make their move as soon as possible if they want to avoid missing out on the player.
Although the Newcastle United boss conceded that he’d like to keep the French midfielder for another season (and named him in his squad to face Huddersield on Saturday), the Spaniard didn’t rule out a transfer for the player, who issued a come-and-get-me plea to Real Madrid earlier this week.
"If someone is coming with the right offer, we will consider and we will analyse the offer,” said Benítez. "If it's not the right offer, we are really pleased to keep him here. He knows he has to concentrate on that.”
Rafa: "Make offer as soon as possible...or it'll be impossible"
However the former Real Madrid coach warned that the club would be less willing to sell the player towards the end of the window, which ends on 31 August. "If someone is waiting to do a deal on August 30...no chance, because we don't need to sell.
"If someone wants to come, they have to come, and we will decide which is the best solution for the club. If someone wants to come, they have to make the right offer as soon as possible, or it will be impossible."
