Keylor Navas return date in sight, James rumours continue, Asension part of national plans and Cristiano has a new piece to show off in his museum.
Keylor return in sight
After being out injured over the summer - disappointingly missing the Copa América - it looks as though Madrid's number one goalkeeper, Keylor Navas, has an expected date of return. According to La Nación, a Costa Rican paper, their countryman should be in place for a call up for the home game against Osasuna on 10 September. Till then, Kiko Casilla is expected to continue in goal for Los Blancos.
James still being chased
Although manager Zinedine Zidane came out after the Bernabéu Trophy to unequically state that the Colombian would be going nowhere, reports in British media persist saying that his agent, Jorge Mendes is not so closed to the idea of a move. Apparently an offer of around 75 million euros could prise the player away from Madrid, with Arsenal and Chelsea the ones being advised.
Asensio for Spain
New national team coach, Julen Lopetegui spoke to AS yesterday and confirmed that the impressive Madrid youngster is definitely in his thoughts for La Roja. "It's logical to to be thinking about players like these," he said referring to Asensio, Saúl and Denis Suárez. "They form part of my thinking and have a style that fits with the ideas we have".
Kovacic Milan link
The Madrid central midfielder continues to be connected to a summer move to AC Milan with Tuttosport reporting that the Italian club have set aside funds to make this happen before the window closes.
