Leicester consider paying Nzonzi’s €30m buy-out clause
According to The Telegraph, the Foxes are looking to bolster their midfield ahead of this season’s champions league Monaco are also interested in Sevilla’s French midfielder.
Premier League champions Leicester are considering meeting Steven Nzonzi’s €30m buy-out clause at Sevilla, according to The Telegraph. The British newspaper claimed that Nzonzi is not ruling out a return to the top-flight of English football after he left Stoke to join Sevilla for 10 million euros last year.
However, Leicester are not the only possible suitors, with Monaco also interested, although the size of the fee and the fact that Leicester are believed to have already made contact with the player's representatives means a move to the Ligue 1 club is unlikely.
With Iborra also on Sunderland’s radar – the Black Cats offered around 8 million euros – Sevilla will have to see out the end of the transfer window with two of their defensive midfielders under the watchful eye of the Premier League and its financial clout.
