Betis terminate Kadir contract
The Algerian midfielder had a year left on his contract but has had his contract rescinded after being reported by his partner for domestic violence.
Algerian international Foued Kadir has been released by Real Betis after the club terminated his contract amid allegations of domestic violence.
Out-of-favour Kadir, who first joined the club on loan in 2014 but was deemed surplus to requirements at the Benito Villamarín by new manager Gus Poyet over the summer, was last week reported to the police by his partner who accused him of maltreatment and abusive behaviour. He is due before a judge later this week to answer the charges levelled against him.
Kadir was born in France but has played 25 times for the Algerian national team.
The club will this afternoon unveil Serbian midfielder Darko Brašanac as their latest summer signing but are still looking to offload three other players: Peruvian wide man Juan Manuel Vargas, former PSG and Middlesborough midfielder Didier Digard and Francisco Portillo.
