Real Madrid first team coach Zinedine Zidane spoke to the media in the press conference after the 3-0 home win over Madrid neighbors Leganés.

Struggled to find breakthrough

The French coach acknowledged that his team struggled to find the opening goal: “The start of the game was complicated as the visitors pressured with a high line. As soon as we scored the first goal, the dynamic of the game changed and I'd say we had complete control into he second period".

Clean sheet

The 44 year old was also content with his side keeping their first clean sheet since the away game against Espanyol in mid September. He observed: “It's the consequence of team-work and it's not that easy. We get criticized but today we won and kept the other side from scoring, this is the way forward for us”.

Despite going into the international break on top of LaLiga, Zidane feels that the win today changes nothing. “It's good to be on top but ultimately it counts for little with so much to play ahead. We'll carry on working with the players who don't have to play for their national sides and added that he was delighted to have Luka Modric back in the Madrid side after a month out of action due to injury, "Luka was great" claimed Zidane. "He played well and didn't give away a single ball. His return is great news for us".
